Types of issues

I work with parents, carers and families affected by the following issues:
  • Clashes and arguments between parents and children including children with more difficult temperaments such as those who are especially strong-willed, sensitive or more intense.
  • Children with neurodiversity e.g. Attention Deficit concerns (ADHD) and / or Autism (ASC/ASD).
  • Differences in 'parenting styles'. These are often where parents may have moved to extremes along the 'parenting line' - super-strict at one end and anything-goes at the other. I support parents to stay in the 'middle ground'.
  • Children who exhibit 'external' problems (such as oppositional behaviour and defiance) as well as children showing more 'internal' problems (such as anxiety and depression).
  • Parental separation / divorce, bereavement.
  • Sibling issues, such as endless squabbles / disputes, when type 1 and 2 children clash with each other. (See home page for a short overview of type 1 and 2).
  • Families who are all adults who wish to improve communication between them, or where there are rifts in the family and a neutral space is needed to start repairing conversations.
